Pacers Push Celtics to the Limit in Game 1 of East Finals

Tatum and Brown Lead Boston's Comeback Effort

Indiana's Young Stars Impress in Overtime Thriller

In a pulsating Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, the Boston Celtics narrowly escaped with a 133-128 overtime victory over the Indiana Pacers. After trailing by 10 points with under six minutes to play in regulation, the Celtics rallied behind star duo Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

Tatum poured in 36 points, while Brown hit a clutch three-pointer with just 16 seconds remaining to force overtime. In the extra period, the Celtics' superior outside shooting proved decisive, as they drained 13 three-pointers in the game compared to the Pacers' six.

Tyrese Haliburton led the Pacers with 33 points, including a stunning seven three-pointers. However, the Pacers' inability to contain Boston's potent outside shooting ultimately cost them the game.

Despite the loss, the Pacers showed immense resilience and determination, showcasing the growth of their young stars. Haliburton, in particular, put in a standout performance, demonstrating his exceptional shooting ability and poise.

Game 2 of the series is scheduled for Tuesday in Indianapolis. The Celtics will be aiming to build on their hard-fought victory, while the Pacers will be determined to make more shots from beyond the arc and protect the paint.
