Tiger Woods Struggles at The 152nd Open After Sleepless Flight
Woods Shoots 4-Over 74 at Pinehurst No. 2
Tired Golfer Hopes to Channel Positive Energy at Royal Troon
A jaded Tiger Woods arrived at Royal Troon on Thursday for the 152nd Open after a sleepless flight. The attempted ambush of his car by a suspect in Florida caused the disruption.
Despite the setback, Woods aims to channel positive energy on the course. He shot a 4-over 74 at Pinehurst No. 2 in his previous round, making six bogeys and two birdies.
Woods is hoping to improve his performance at Royal Troon, a course where he has struggled in the past. He missed the cut in 2016 and finished tied for 31st in 2015.
The 152nd Open is a major championship on the PGA Tour. Woods is a 15-time major winner, but he has not won one since the 2008 U.S. Open.
